no later than 20th December 2026, in order to go through a review process to be included in the volume of the proceedings of our Conference “Digital Folklore 2.0., Popular culture in the age of Artificial Intelligence”. The files will be sent to https://forms.gle/maguwZP5TEC1LcZP9.

As the texts will go through a review process, they will be sent in two phases:

In the first phase, you will send your texts formatted according to the template that you will find here.

In the second phase, you will incorporate the revisions required according to the reviewers’ suggestions and resend your texts.

Important notes

  • Texts that do not follow the template will be returned to their authors for the necessary corrections.
  • Proofreading and accuracy of what is stated in the texts is the sole responsibility of their authors.
  • Late submissions will not be included in the volume of the minutes.
  • Texts are submitted exclusively in doc or docx format.
  • The length of the texts should not exceed 10 000 words (including the abstract, references and any appendicies).
  • As a file name, you must use the code of your article mentioned at the beginning of this message.
  • No extension will be given.

Final text formatting instructions

General

  1. Page size: A4.
  2. Margins: all 2.54mm.
  3. Font: Calibri.
  4. Paragraphs: 0pt top and bottom, line spacing: single.
  5. Indent paragraphs: none, use enter to indicate paragraphs.
  6. Total text length: 10,000 words (including summaries, references and any appendices).

Title, authors, etc.

  • Title: centered, font size 14, bold, no uppercase letters (uppercase is used only the first letter and proper names).
  • Author(s): centered, font size 11. Use commas to separate authors, the name comes first.
  • Affiliation: centered, font size 11. Use commas to separate affiliations. Reference only to the university, institution, or school (e.g., University of the Aegean, 15th Junior High School of Rhodes).
  • Email(s): centered, font size 11. Use commas to separate them.
  • Use 2 enter for the next section.

Abstract

  1. Abstract: font size 12, bold, left.
  2. Text: font size 11, justified, single text without paragraphs and references, up to 200 words.
  3. Use 1 enter for the next section.
  4. Keywords: font size 11, bold, full alignment, placement of keywords on the same line, in alphabetical order, separated by commas.
  5. Use 2 enter for the next section.

Section and sub-section headings

  1. 1st level heading: font size 12, bold.
  2. 2nd level heading, font size 11, bold italics.
  3. 3rd level heading, font size 11, italics.
  4. No headings of other levels.

Citation of statistical indicators

  • Statistical indicators are usually written in italics.

In-text references

  • The standard followed is APA7. Bibliographic references should be cited in the text with the authors’ surnames and date (e.g. Lijnse, 1995). If there are more than two authors, only the last name of the first author is listed, followed by et al. (e.g. Duit et al., 1997). Within the text, reference to different authors to be presented in alphabetical order separated by a semicolon (e.g. Duschl et al., 2011; Komorek et al., 2001· Prigogine & Stengers, 1984).

New update (May 7, 2026):

To date, a significant number of noteworthy proposals have been received. However, in order to accommodate those who were unable to submit their papers by the original deadline, we are announcing an extension for the submission of new proposals until May 31, 2026. Conference participants who have already submitted their proposals by the original deadline will receive a response from the review committee by mid-month.

Announcements can be in Greek or English.

The texts of the proposals, after selection through the anonymous review process, will be published in a digital collective volume by the Department’s publications (relevant instructions will follow in a subsequent announcement).

Interested parties should submit a title and an extensive summary (Greek and English up to 500 words) of their presentation, as well as a short CV (up to 100 words) by clicking on the link: https://forms.gle/z3zQh1afhpiHLmVe8 by April 30, 2026.
